Loofah /Luffas

A luffa (also spelled loofah) is a fibrous gourd from the cucumber family. When fully matured, dried, and peeled, it becomes a sponge-like material commonly used for exfoliating skin or cleaning surfaces. Natural luffas come from plants (not the sea like some assume), whereas synthetic "loofahs" are usually made from plastic mesh.
